NFPA 10
October 1, 2007 - With the newest release of NFPA 10, a mandatory retirement clause has been introduced for fire extinguishers older than 1983. Any units you may find in the field will have to be replaced at the next "Maintenance" or "Hydro-Test". Please check with the local authority (municipal fire department) to see if this recommended policy is being enforced.

MIRCOM® 300 Series Panel Release

Mircom has released their new "300" series low zone fire alarm panel. It's a "cracker jack" little system that's obviously designed to go head to head with the new Edwards "Fireshield" line. We've already been involved in the installation of two of these little beauties and they are incredibly versatile. They're also ULC cross-listed to a number of different manufacturer's smoke detectors making them an ideal replacement for the older Edwards 2280 series control panels (a number of which are getting particularly "tired").
